Fall Transitions

The basic black tee has been one of my wardrobe staples for as long as I can remember.  Growing up in San Francisco I always kept a black tee or sweater handy to pull over a dress as soon as the fog rolled in.  This trick also works well this time of year in LA as a handy way to transition a summery dress to a cute skirt.

IMG_4583(1)IMG_4602(1)I’m currently on the prowl for a perfect black crew-neck sweater to replace the one from Target that I’ve loved and worn for the past 5 years straight.  I’ve got a few long-sleeve tee’s (all from Target) that I wear year round – here’s an example from this summer – but as temperatures drop, I really need something heavier.

IMG_4596(1)As you may have noticed, I tried to do something with my hair today! This was actually supposed to be a beehive-meets-French twist but it didn’t quite work.  One of my ‘girlie goals’ for this season is to learn how to do things with my hair.  I put a call in to my Mom after this shoot and got some great advice so I’ll be working on that in the coming days.
