What does it mean to ‘Defy your DNA’?  Defying my DNA is something I’ve been working on in little, everyday ways for quite awhile.  Don’t get me wrong, there are many things that I’ve inherited from my parents that I fully embrace; I love that I got my dad’s height and my mom’s smile BUT I’ve also got fair skin and fine, thin hair.

While my DNA determines certain qualities about me, I’m not going to let it determine my destiny.  I’ve decided to do everything I can to protect my skin from the sun’s rays by doing easy things like remembering to apply sunscreen each and every day ( even when it’s cloudy or overcast outside ) and also by wearing a hat as a physical barrier from the sun’s rays.  I’ve even started layering my sun protection by using a moisturizer with an SPF20 under my daytime foundation, which also contains a sunscreen.

I’ve recently learned that as everyone ages their hair follicles begin to shrink so that means that thinning hair is actually in everyone’s DNA and that is particularly concerning to me because I’m already starting out with fine, thin hair!  So, rather than just accept thinning hair, I’m determined to be proactive and start using Rogaine to help sustain my hair density for younger, healthy looking hair.

My decision to try Rogaine was an easy one; no other topical treatment has been proven to grow thicker, fuller hair faster than Rogaine.  Did you know that Rogaine is the #1 dermatologist-recommended brand for hair regrowth?  Applying Rogaine foam to my still-damp, towel-dried hair is quick and easy.
