Hello from NYC! My first day of Fashion Week was filled with parties, events, lots of fun with LA friends plus a beautifully bright runway show from Desigual.
After a sleepless night on a red-eye flight, I checked in to my hotel and then went straight to Lincoln Center to pick up my press pass. The lounge at Lincoln Center is an exciting place filled with journalists, photographers, brands like Samsung, Mercedes-Benz and Tresseme plus great people watching.
After a champagne toast with friends, it was time for the Desigual show. I loved the bright colors and happy prints plus seeing Adriana Lima on the runway was a treat.
As excited as I’ve been for Fall, after seeing all of these colorful Spring/Summer 2015 styles I’m already looking forward to warm-weather again. After Lincoln Center I went over to a fun styling event in Columbus circle sponsored by Elle Magazine and Salon SCK where I was treated to make-up and hair touch-ups before heading out to parties.
Next up was a store visit at the Elaine Turner store on Madison for Champagne, cupcakes and a chance to celebrate her Spring/Summer collection and view beautiful pieces for Fall.
We headed straight from Elaine Turner to Schutz Shoes for a party to celebrate their collaboration with Alessandra Ambrosio.
After two more stops, viewing Pharrell’s G-Star Raw for the Oceans line and the Refinery 29’s bash at The Country Club, I finally called it a night and headed back to my hotel to plan NYFW Day 2 which includes shows from Mark & Estel, Zimmerman plus more parties, events and hopefully some down time to wander to city and spend some time at Central Park.
