currently crushing, elle magazine, wella hair, butterfly loft eventAn invite for an evening with ELLE magazine and Wella Hair – how could I resist?  Especially when it involves styling ideas from expert hair stylists, a DJ, hors d’ oeuvres and desserts at the beautiful Butterfly Loft salon here in LA.  I’m not all that great at styling my own hair and considering my constant quest for the big, full hair of my dreams, I jumped at the chance to have the sweet and talented Terrah style my hair for me…

 

 

currently crushing, butterfly loft, wella hair, elle magazine eventThat’s my ‘before’ shot.  I used my curling wand that day trying to get a little volume and ‘oomph’ to my hair for that F21 Red event I went to in the morning.  Terrah washed my hair with Wella products and then blew it dry with a big, round brush and did a quick bobby-pin set to let the curls cool down and then unpinned them and did a tiny bit of teasing and spraying at the roots.  I can’t even believe that this is my own hair – I love how it turned out!!

currently crushing, elle magazine, wella hair event, butterfly loft, spectacular is, style wax poetic, the penny closetcurrently crushing, elle magazine, wella hair, butterfly loftI wore a DVF dress (past season but lots of cute white dresses in this post), that great Van Laced Avenue vegan bag plus striped flats that I picked up on sale at Target last week.  It felt so strange to be in flats at an event.  I’m always in heels at events and parties but keep a pair of flats in my car to change in to for running in to a store or pumping gas or whatever but after a long day of running around I decided to just stick with the flats and I’m glad I did – I felt so cozy that night.

I can’t believe that my San Francisco event is only 2 days away!  I’m busily packing for a fun, long weekend up there which will include some family time plus Bay to Breakers in addition to this fun event:
