My weekend trip to Santa Barbara was heavenly. One of the things I love about living in LA is how close I am to the ocean and the mountains, making a quick weekend getaway feel like I’m a million miles away. Bacara Resort and Spa was a great place to stay. With a perfectly appointed room, fabulous pools, wine tasting, ocean view and spectacular food, I would have been content to stay on the property the entire weekend. I did wander off for a bit of shopping in downtown Santa Barbara plus a visit to the nearby Monarch butterfly conservancy but spent most of my time relaxing at the resort.
Bacara offers 358 newly renovated guest rooms, luxury suites and luxury retreats, all of which feature private balconies or patios and stunning views, signature dining in four restaurants and lounges, plus the legendary Spa at Bacara, a 42,000-square-foot spa and wellness center.
