Two of my favorite shows at New York Fashion Week are BCBGMaxAzria and Hervé Léger. Each show taps in to a different part of my personal style taste and always inspires with hair and makeup pairings. BCBGMaxAzria definitely got me crushing on the ‘Bucket Hat’ and I may not be able to wait for Spring 2016 to wear it.
I adored the beautiful colors and strong bohemian vibe at BCBG which reminded me of a 1970’s Joni Mitchell / Laurel Canyon summertime. The Hervé Léger Spring/Summer 2016 runway show was stunningly beautiful with more beading and embellishments than in past seasons, plus cut-outs and the most fabulous pant suits I’ve ever seen.
According to Lubov Azria of Hervé Léger, the brand is celebrating it’s 30th anniversary and is embracing a new direction with a more organic quality to their handwork and elements of nature incorporated into the collection. As always, these two shows were beyond beautiful and a highlight of NYFW.
