I’m back home and missing the beauty and relaxed pace of Costa Rica already. I can’t believe that it’s almost Christmas and, in spite of my good intentions, I haven’t even started to shop for presents! Before getting started on all that I want to share a few more shots of the what I actually did in Costa Rica this past week. Clothes-wise, I pretty much lived in lightweight summery dresses, flip flops and that cute La Blanca ‘midkini’ plus hats galore, thanks to Peter Grimm!
In addition to admiring the beauty of Los Suenos, I managed to shop a little in the town of Jaco, have amazing meals with friends and also get a lesson in gelato making at Dolce Vita. Dolce Vita at Los Suenos was my first stop each morning for a relaxed coffee and breakfast and also my last stop most nights for a scoop (or three) of gelato.
I picked up great souvenirs for family and friends in Jaco…
I also had a fantastic drink at Bambu in Los Suenos that I think is called something like ‘Jute Juice’:
It was a mixture of aloe juice with pulp, green tea and crushed mint leaves. I ran to Trader Joe’s yesterday to pick up the ingredients so I can try to recreate this fabulous drink at home. I’ll let you know how it turns out. As always, it’s great to travel and even better to come home. I missed my sweet Elke puppy and it feels good to do some holiday decorating at the new house. Last holiday season we were surrounded by moving boxes at the old house and waiting for our final inspection so we could move here. It’s amazing how this year has flown by! xxoo
