Remember my shopping trip to JC Penney last week to check out their designer collaborations? Today I’m wearing two more of my finds – this I Heart Ronson sweater and faux leather shorts from BisouBisou. I like the full cut of these pleat-front shorts, it keeps them from looking too ‘clubby’ and I know they’ll be getting plenty of wear dressed up or dressed down. I found them on the clearance rack for $5 so they really were quite a score.
This I Heart Ronson sweater was under $20 and is a perfect weight for chilly LA mornings and the neon stripes make it a good ‘transition to Spring’ piece. I’ve already worn this sweater twice for my morning coffee run and my thrifted lace-up boots are still in heavy rotation.
Fashion Week is going strong here and I’m looking forward to another event tonight. This one is featuring some of LA’s eco-friendly/ethical designers and includes a trunk show to benefit the Somaly Mam Foundation. Two of the designers that I met at the LAFC Market Week presentation, ISM Mode and SoldatTailoring, will be showing their collections on the runway tonight!
Here are some shots from the ProjectEthos event that I attended Tuesday night at The Avalon. This was a fun night of runway, live art and live music by Fire in the Hamptons!
