Baby shower planning was so much fun! This was my first time hosting a baby shower and I love how it all turned out. I decided to go with a Boho themed baby shower for the sweet little girl that’s on the way. Rather than the traditional games, I thought that a DIY flower crown station would be a fun activity for my 15 guests and I was right; this was the hit of the party. Those pretty candles from Lucid made the table look even prettier. You may have seen these candles on my IG; they’re the ones that have a real flame but never drip or burn unevenly.
A candy buffet on my outdoor bar cart was another popular baby shower idea and for a special touch I ordered custom M&M’s with sweet little sayings and the baby’s name on them. I was amazed at the speedy shipping and quality of these M&M’s and will definitely be ordering them again for special occasions.
I’ve decided to leave the cart, fully restocked, up in my living room for awhile because it adds a sweet touch of fun when people walk in. Simply Swan send us some adorable baby shower cookies made especially for baby girl Rowan.
The mom-to-be received so many lovely gifts for her bundle of joy including a personalized baby dress and a Vera Bradley ‘Baby Backpack’:
Hosting a baby shower was so much fun! I would definitely recommend having a DIY flower crown station at your next party; the guests loved this activity. For a special touch, the mom-to-be hand dyed canvas tote bags for each of the guests and filled them with goodies including a CD of the party playlist, a homemade hand cream, a beautiful Vera Bradley necklace, fragrance and brow products from Rouge Bunny Rouge, and hair serum from bhave.
We also made sure to save one of the tote bags and an invitation for baby; I know she’ll love it someday!
