Are you as tickled as I am to see Cara Delevingne singing a duet with Pharrell Williams? These two are singing the song “CC the World” which was written and produced by Pharrell for a Chanel film by Karl Lagerfeld. The film is set in an Austrian hotel, the perfect prelude to the brand’s Métiers d’Art show that recently took place in Salzburg.
I Loved seeing Lagerfeld’s fashion family Amanda Harlech, Jamie Bochert, and Hudson Kroenig in this film as well as daughter of Charlie Chaplin and Oona O’Neil, Geraldine Chaplin, playing Coco Chanel. I was especially thrilled with the end of the film when Chaplin asks Pharrell where he got his jacket. This reminded me of the story of Coco Chanel designing her iconic Chanel jacket based on an elevator operator’s uniform at the Baron Pantz hotel in Austria. This beautiful film feels like an early Christmas present to me!
