It’s been nearly a week since I returned home from New York Fashion Week and I’m just starting to go through the pictures I shot with my phone. It’s so much fun to relive all of the good times with friends during Fashion Week. I’m sure you’re inundated with runway shots from online sources so I thought it would be fun to share some of my behind-the-scenes shots. Finally meeting my blogger-crush Beckerman sisters in person was a huge deal for me! I’ve loved them for so many years and have just missed them at shows and events for the past three NYFW’s. This time I ran in to them near Lincoln Center on the way to my first show of the season, BCBGMaxazria. It was also great to catch up with Kris of Miss Kris Turner:
Pizza is a big part of Fashion Week for me. I love pizza but there’s something about being in NYC that makes me crave it more than usual. I’ve lost count of how many slices I ate on my trip but I’m sure that I went to at least 4 different places.. I read a sad article about starvation diets during Fashion Week which is pretty hard to imagine considering all of the great food NYC has to offer and how good it all smells, especially when it’s freezing cold outside. Most of the showrooms and lounges I visited that week fed us and many offered champagne – which makes the visit even more festive and fun because I don’t have to worry about driving home so I can partake of the bubbly!
Pretty clothes, champagne and Aloha superfood chocolate? Yes, please! The Style Coalition lounge spoiled me as well with brunch, a special #NYFW mani from Primp and Polish and hair styling from Sassoon.
My first night in town was spent at a Kleinfeld Bridal event where I gorged myself on these cute emoji cookies from Patti Paige’s Baked Ideas:
Another highlight of my trip was a visit to Lord and Taylor to meet with the design team behind the 424 Fifth line. I was fitted for a few fabulous pieces from their Spring collection which I’m anxious to share with you. Here’s a sneak peek from my Instagram here.
And speaking of champagne… how awesome is this quote from Madame Lily Bolinger? This shot was taken at Daniel Boulud’s DBGB, where I had the best chocolate croissant of my life:
I hope you enjoyed seeing these shots of the other things that I did in NYC besides attending the shows! xx
