Citadel Outlets

currently crushing, citadel outletsYesterday I was invited to attend a media event at the Citadel Outlets here in LA that ended up being more like a full-on party in the VIP lounge followed by some serious bargain shopping at stores like Kate Spade, Levi’s, Michael Kors, American Apparel, Ann Taylor, Nike, Gap and Fossil…

While we were being wined and dined in the VIP lounge we learned more about the history behind this beautiful property which began as a tire and rubber company plant and was modeled after the 7th century BC Assyrian palace of King Sargon II.  I loved hearing about how the City of Commerce purchased the property in 1983 as part of an effort to prevent the demolition of this beautiful landmark building.  After our lounge party we were let loose to tackle the outlets armed with goodie bags, discount coupons and cards plus a beautiful pair of pearl earrings courtesy of Helzberg Diamonds.  The Kate Spade Outlet was our first stop and I ended up finding the perfect gift for a friend’s graduation:
