Spent a lot of time this weekend drooling over the images from Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2014 collection (as seen on Garance Dore and Newborn Fanatic) and digging through my closet to recreate my favorite look…
Inspired by the use of mid-calf black socks (these were borrowed from my boyfriend) with this boot length. Loving when I can take runway styling and use pieces from my own (or my boyfriend’s) closet in new ways.
Cap: Nordstrom (old but similar here). Sweater: Forever 21. Shirt: Madewell (similar here). Boots: Ferragamo (ancient but love this pair and this pair). Bag: Louis Vuitton (on ebay and similar here).
In addition to the mid-calf black socks/boots Gucci inspiration, I’m also loving the layering of a denim collar and black cuffs under the fuzzy sweater. For these shots I wore my favorite basic black tee under the shirt to create a similar look to Gucci’s.
We’re now 2 months in to our home remodel and it’s going really well. I’m enjoying the process of shopping for flooring, shower tile and fixtures more than I ever could have imagined. I hope your week is off to a great start and you’ve got some fun things planned! xx
