Favorite Shirt and Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon Review

Hello and happy Monday!  I hope you had a fabulously fun Fall weekend.  I took a much-needed break from the home remodel and enjoyed a relaxing weekend doing fun things like celebrating a friend’s Halloween-themed birthday party (I dressed up as Karl Lagerfeld), attending a yoga event sponsored by KeVita in Venice (recap to follow) and enjoying a deliciously decadent double-date dinner at Fig & Olive.  Other than wearing my Karl Lagerfeld costume Saturday night, I pretty much lived in this contrast piping blouse or switched it out with the white version – seen last week underneath that big, fluffy coat.

I rarely buy two such similar items at once but I could tell that these blouses would become wardrobe favorites.  I love the construction of this blouse plus the fit and material make it feel much more expensive than it actually is.  Another great discovery this weekend was the Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon.  I received this Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon in ‘Redwood Forest’ to review on my social sites – the color I’m wearing in these pictures – and then went out and bought the pink ‘Carolina Coast’ lip crayon because one color was just not enough for me.  I’m absolutely crazy about these crayons.

These new crayons are 100% natural and I love their creamy, matte finish.  The most surprising thing about these lip crayons is that the color is extremely long-wearing but still feels moist and dewy on your lips.  Have you tried crayons before?  This is by far the best one I’ve ever tried for a lip crayon review.  Even with this darker shade, I had no trouble making a nice, neat line with zero blurring or smudging.

I’m getting excited for Halloween this week!  This is the first year that I haven’t decorated in a very long time – we’re still pretty much packed to move back in to the new house so I haven’t felt like unpacking but I’m tempted to pick up just a few new decorations to get us through the week.  I’ve been scouring Pinterest for a couple of easy Halloween party snack ideas that I can make to bring to Friday’s parties.  So far,  my top two favorites are:  Spooky Spider Deviled Eggs and Caramel Apple Nachos.

I hope your week is off to a great start! xx
