Gaudí Quest

Day 2 in Barcelona was filled with great food, tons of walking and a quick stop at 4 Gaudí buildings.  Antoni Gaudí was a Spanish Catalan architect and is the best known practitioner of Catalan Modernism. Gaudí’s works reflect a very distinctive style and are mostly located in Barcelona.  Today I was able to see Casa Batlló, Parc Güell, La Pedrera and the most famous of Gaudí’s works, La Sagrada Familia, which has been in construction since 1892 and is not expected to be finished until 2030.

I’m completely fascinated with this architect and can’t wait to study up on Antoni Gaudí and return to Barcelona to see more of his amazing buildings.  The weather here in Spain has been perfect for exploring and I’m happily wearing so many of those great Fall items that I brought back from NYFW.

Our stay at the W was perfect and had a great view of the beach and, in spite of this sign, there wasn’t any actual nudity!  Tomorrow I’ll be heading out to explore more of Spain so please follow along on snapchat and IG at username: THECURRENTCRUSH    xoxo, K
