This past weekend was filled with holiday parties so I thought I’d share pictures from some of them. I ended up wearing this dress to quite a few and it felt perfect to me – comfortable and festive, plus I wanted to get away from basic black, sequins and glitter for this string of parties which included a Latke’s & Vodka’s party, a 90th birthday celebration, a cancer research fundraiser and a cozy meal with friends at LA hotspot Craig’s on Melrose. My dress is by Parker. I love this type of dress, it looks very LA to me and works for all seasons. I paired it with those Hanes super opaque blackout tights and a pair of Anne Klein ankle boots.
Here’s one from the 90th birthday party which was held at Arthur Murray dance studio. We had so much fun and even got a group Foxtrot lesson!
These next two shots are from the cancer research fundraiser held at The Mark on Pico. This event had a Monte Carlo theme! I played a lot of blackjack and filled up on great appetizers and desserts.
The last party of the weekend was with a group of friends at Craig’s. Have you been there? I love the atmosphere at Craig’s, it reminds me so much of my favorite (hometown) San Francisco spots but when you see the paparazzi outside you know you’re in LA.
We had a fixed menu, fabulous appetizers – oysters, shrimp cocktail and ahi tuna (all of which I do not eat but looked pretty) and an endless supply of Cristal. We had a white elephant/secret santa gift exchange and an amazing dessert of chocolate pizza and blueberry cobbler.
Our friend Mark was interviewed by the paparazzi on our way out:
My holiday shopping is finally finished and I’m looking forward to enjoying the next few days of projects around the house and preparing for a trip to Vegas this Sunday. Have you finished your shopping yet? xoxo
