Happy Monday! I’m back from a whirlwind trip to San Francisco for the iFabbo Conference where I learned so much that my head is still swimming with ideas and information about the business of fashion and beauty. I sat in on panels about social media, PR, photography/videography, legal issues regarding bloggers, technology and so much more…
There were representatives from Facebook, Google, Adobe, Glam Media, Poshmark and many more. I made some great new friends, too. I sat with the amazingly talented makeup artist and owner of Muse Beauty- Alphonse Wiebelt and also loved meeting and hanging out with Deanna of Looks I Love. It was fun trying out these Google glasses:
I got to meet with fab brands including Dermalogica, Becca, Beautisol, Lotus Denim, Prai Beauty and UK brand Boohoo (they gave me this great tartan skirt!)
Those Lotus jeans look and sound like they may be the most flattering jeans in the world. We also had a great ‘cupcakes and lemonade’ break courtesy of Luvocracy:
This entire day was beyond fantastic in every possible way. We started off with a coffee reception and went right into the panel discussions followed by a catered lunch courtesy of The Mad Video and fireside chat with Becca Cosmetics then more panels, cupcakes, time to meet and mingle with the brand sponsors, keynote speaker Jacqueline Wales (author of The Fearless Factor) and then on to a cocktail hour and after-party at the Four Seasons. As if all of this weren’t enough, we were each sent home with this giant swag bag chock-full of beauty items that I can’t wait to try!
