Sonia Kashuk’s pretty cosmetic bag from Target is holding this week’s favorite makeup. Do you change up your makeup often? I find myself trying new colors and brands on a weekly basis. Generally I stick to the same foundation and mascara and play around with everything else but this week I decided to change it all up. My pretty makeup bag is from last weeks’ Target Swim party; its amazing how just getting a new bag to hold my cosmetics makes me so happy!
This week I decided to switch back from my usual Dior Flash foundation to my tried and true Make Up For Ever Ultra HD foundation; they changed the color numbers (from 117 to Y225) but the name of my shade (marble) stayed the same and the coverage is perfection with none of that bluish ‘flashback’ thing that I get from other foundations. I’m also using the Make Up For Ever hydrating primer and loving it. I’m always on the hunt for the perfect brow gel / color for my ultra pale brows and the Make Up For Ever Brow Gel in Dark Blond is the best I’ve found.
After curling my lashes I apply Kevyn Aucoin’s Essential Mascara which gives my lashes that super dark, almost false-lash look. I’ve been playing around with this Absolute Rose eyeshadow palette from Catrice Cosmetics and complimenting it with a baby-pink cheek from my favorite Sisley Paris Phyto-Blush Twist.
For a summery glow I’ve been applying the Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Skin Liquid Lighting to my cheek and brow bones for a luminous ‘lit from within’ glow. I’ve also been wearing It Cosmetics new Confidence in Your Glow 3-in-1 which is the ultimate multi-tasker and I’m obsessed with their Heavenly Skin One Sweep Wonderbrush. Victoria’s Secret Sugar Scrub was in my goodie bag from the Coachella VS Angels Oasis party and I am obsessed with how soft and smooth my lips are from using this little tube. Simply apply, rub in a circular motion and then tissue off and you’ve got the softest lips ever!
That little rollerball of Philosophy’s Amazing Grace is always in my makeup bag and I’ve usually got one in my purse as well. I finally broke down and bought the Amazing Grace bath and shower gel plus the firming body lotion so I am always surrounded by my favorite scent. Philosophy also makes an Amazing Grace Dry Shampoo so that’s next on my list.
