Sometimes I like to take a step back from all the colors, patterns and frills of summertime dressing and tone it all down with a monochromatic look. The chic-ness of basic black and white can’t be beat for a simple, ‘pulled together’ look.
How awesome is this white anorak from Babette? Made in the US from Italian fabric, this fabulous trench-alternative is just the ticket for chilly mornings. I love the cinched-in waist and oversize draped hood, plus it’s extremely ‘packable’ and will be great for my upcoming trip to Europe.
I’ve been wearing these basic black jeans nonstop the past 2 weeks. I went shopping with my sweet friend Coco a few weeks ago and we stocked up on inexpensive jeans at Forever 21 and I’m loving them all! My Ciao muscle tee is still available in limited supply; it’s from last year but remains a favorite. My heels are at least 3 years old but I found a cute pair from Marc Fisher on sale at Nordstrom right now that I may need to buy – plus they’re a little lower heel which is better for all the running around I do. I’m still loving that MCM ‘Soho’ portfolio from last year’s Vogue event and get so many compliments on it!
