Happy National Junk Food Day! Held every July 21st, National Junk Food Day is not an officially recognized holiday but it’s a great reason to celebrate and indulge in all of our favorite foods. The term “junk food” was first popularized in the 1960s, but really caught on following the release of the song “Junk Food Junkie” in the 1970’s. My favorite “junk food” would have to be potato chips, even though I consider them more like vegetables.
Today I’m celebrating National Junk Food Day in a tee from one of my favorite local brands – Junk Food Clothing. Junk Food Clothing is the original vintage T-shirt company and has been making fabulous tees right here in Los Angeles since 1998. Paired with those vintage Vogue x Levi’s 501CT jeans (still so tickled with the wear on that back pocket) and BCBG heeled gladiators, I’m feeling ready to indulge in all of my favorite foods.
