As part of my closet clean-up (and trying to work navy blue in to my wardrobe this season), I realized that I needed a few new Spring dresses that would work for those times when I need to dress up a little more than usual. Dresses that would be appropriate for a graduation, birthday party, upscale brunch or business lunch and specifically not black. I like to call them ‘Day Dresses’ and I that’s just what I’m looking for these days. I saw this pretty J Crew shift dress and knew that it was just the ticket:
It’s lightweight, just modest enough for more conservative occasions and can easily be dressed up or dressed down. I’m still searching for the perfect little white blazer and when I find it, I think it’ll look pretty with this dress.
I’m loving the versatility of navy blue this season and how great it looks with pastels like this yellow convertible clutch from Charming Charlie. I think a soft pink would be nice with this dress, as well. My sky-scraper (at least for me!) heels are from ShoeDazzle and I’m crazy about the casualness of the denim material with the elegance of a pointy toe and ankle straps. That little bit of platform makes them surprisingly easy to walk in.
