St. Tropez Morning

I’m back home in LA and just starting to sift through the pictures I took on my adventures through Spain, Italy and the French Riviera.  One of my favorite stops was St. Tropez.  We got off the ship early that morning and wandered through the streets of this magical place.  Seeing St. Tropez  had been a dream of mine for so long and it truly exceeded my expectations; my time there was way too short and I definitely need to plan a much longer visit next time.

I had a few ‘not to be missed’ spots that I was able to visit and those alone made my trip worthwhile.  There are so many more things to see and do in St. Tropez that I’ve already started my list for next time.  Top of my list for this trip were Cafe Senequier and Tarte Tropezienne followed by the beautiful home goods store La Marinette.  Marinette makes a printed fabric with St. Tropez street scenes and I couldn’t resist buying a beach tote and makeup bag with this iconic print; I’ll share more about them and this fabulous store in a future post!

My must-try pastry is actually called a Tarte Tropezienne and looks something like a hamburger and comes in 3 sizes.  Custard filled and topped with sugar sprinkles that resemble sesame seeds, this pastry was so good that we brought a few back to the ship with us and kept them in our mini-fridge.  This bakery, which has been operating since 1955, was reason enough to book a trip to St. Tropez.

Next time I go to St. Tropez, Cafe Senequier will be the place that I’ll begin and end each day.  Great coffee, the absolute best croissant of my life, people watching plus a view of the boats in the harbor make this spot the perfect ‘home base’ for me.

My beautiful kinomo/robe got a zillion compliments in St. Tropez and is the perfect weight for chilly Fall mornings.  I’m so happy with everything I packed for this trip; I was a bit worried for a minute or two because I packed so quickly after NYFW but everything I brought was perfect for the changing seasons and I felt well dressed and comfortable the entire time I was in Europe.  I’m heading out to Paris and then Tuscany later this month and will probably pack all the same things with me and just add in a few heavier pieces just in case it starts feeling more like Winter.  xo
