I spent the weekend exploring Montreal and learning more about this beautiful city. The main thing I learned was that Montreal is a foodie paradise. I had some of the best meals of my life this weekend and also managed to take a few pictures of the city and shop a bit at Zara. The exchange rate is extremely favorable right now so I scored a few deals on cool-weather goodies to wear on the cruise this week.
Did you notice the Cafe Starbucks? Most businesses in old town Montreal include a French word in their name so all of the local Starbucks are called Cafe Starbucks. My UGG Classic Luxe booties kept me cozy and warm this weekend:
We started our morning with coffee and then planned out where we would eat the rest of our meals; so many great restaurants and so little time!
Yesterday’s mid-day meal was one of my favorites and I’ll definitely be trying to recreate that grilled mozzarella, pesto, tomato and spicy salame sandwich once I get home. The cola was sweetened with maple syrup – very Canadian!
This morning I’ll be boarding the ship and setting sail for a week-long Fall Foliage tour which ends up in NYC. As a California native, I’m especially excited because I hardly ever get to see changing leaves! Stay tuned for updates from my trip and also follow along on Instagram @thecurrentcrush
