Do I look like a warrior? After my weekend trip to Ohio to participate in Warrior Dash 2016, I’m feeling pretty fearless and warrior-like. Warrior Dash is an obstacle course race with over two and a half million participants worldwide since 2009. I brought my most adventurous friend, Rachael, with me on this trip and, as it turns out, Warrior Dash was one of the most fun fitness events either one of us had ever participated in.
After a 5k run and 12 world-class obstacles that had me wading across wooded lakes and venturing through mud-caked backroads. I was very happy to see the finish line! I went into this race feeling strong and ready to challenge myself, but the thing I wasn’t prepared for was the sheer amount of mud; I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been that muddy in my entire life.
Who knew that getting messy could be so much fun? The post-race activities turned out to be almost as much fun as the race itself. Fortunately, Delta Faucet had an amazing shower station set up for us to rinse off all the mud.
The Delta Faucet shower station featured the Delta H2Okinectic Shower Head, (just like the one I installed in my bathroom at home!), plus some hand showers, too. The shower station was definitely a crowd favorite and a great way to cool off and get clean. And, with the H20Kinetic technology, everyone enjoyed a powerful rinse that wasn’t wasteful because the shower heads
feel super drenching without actually using more water – Water Warriors!
For those of us, myself and Rachael included, who wanted to have a little more fun with our post-race shower, Delta Faucet provided an incredible shower karaoke station.
Singing our hearts out to Def Leppard’s “Pour Some Sugar on Me” was the perfect way to wash off the mud and celebrate finishing Warrior Dash. Admittedly, I had a few moments during the race when I was wondering what I had gotten myself into, but after a shower and karaoke, I felt refreshed and ready to start planning next years’ Warrior Dash.
See What Delta Can Do.
