Yesterday was a crazy-busy fun day in NYC. It’s below freezing here but it doesn’t seem to slow things down at all. I quickly realized that I didn’t need to worry too much about what I was wearing – it’s more important to bundle up and stay warm. I brought a LOT of shoes and boots with me that I can already tell will not get worn on this trip because I’m living in the pair of North Face snow boots that I threw in my suitcase ‘just in case’.
One of the highlights of my first day of fashion week was the Jay Godfrey presentation…
These fabulous 70’s rock ‘n roll styles thrilled me. The presentation included lots of richly textured rock basics: bomber jackets, mini skirts, jumpsuits and shifts. I would easily wear any one of these pieces. After Jay Godfrey I took a cab downtown to visit a NYFW styling suite where I combed through racks of fantastic styles, tried on cute shoes and never wanted to leave. Next up was a preview for Marissa Collections, a highly curated boutique and online store with the most luxurious designer apparel, handbags and jewelry:
Those dreamy Oscar de la Renta pieces were my favorites and the champagne and pink stiletto cookies made this visit even sweeter.
Yesterday was an amazing first day of my first NYFW. Thank you so much for following along xx
