I don’t remember when exactly I made the switch from silver jewelry to gold. It may have been a few years ago when my boyfriend gave me an 18kt gold ring that I started wearing more gold and loving the rich, warmer tone of 18kt. Earlier this year I started a tradition of buying beautiful gold pieces for myself to commemorate important events in my life. Usually these are little private goals that I’ve reached and I want a lasting reminder of them, something less fleeting than a celebratory pint of Ben and Jerry’s. The first time I bought a special keepsake piece like this was on a trip to Nordstrom where I found these Gorjana Mika Drop earrings…
I love that they are elegant and casual at the same time plus incredibly lightweight with just the right amount of dangle. The next time I felt like spoiling myself with a piece of jewelry I ordered the Chevron Tribal Cuff bracelet and love that it’s easily adjustable and looks great alone or stacked up. My most recent Gorjana purchase, the Teagan open ring, was a very special one for me because it was to celebrate receiving a Trademark on the name Currently Crushing!
That brings us to my fourth piece of Gojana jewelry, the beautiful Mia Teardrop cuff, which holds a lot of sentimental value for me as well because it was a gift from Gorjana that I received at an event last week at the Ace Hotel here in LA.
