During my NY trip I had the pleasure of meeting with the Vera Bradley team and getting a sneak peek at their new leather line. I’m a longtime fan of their classic quilted styles and cheery fabrics but this new leather collection had me at first glance. For over 20 years, Vera Bradley has had a loyal following of customers who not only look forward to the new fabrics and styles that are introduced each season, but who also appreciate the function and quality that is synonymous with their name.
From that magenta quilted Sydney crossbody to the quilted Sophie wristlet that I brought back home with me – I’m seriously crushing on this line.
I love supporting companies that ‘give back’ and Vera Bradley has a whole department dedicated to this work. The company’s primary corporate cause is breast cancer research and Vera Bradley donates approximately $1 million annually to the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer. Since founders Barbara Bradley Baekgaard and Patricia R. Miller began raising funds in memory of their friend and co-worker Mary Sloan, the Vera Bradley Foundation has contributed more than $23 million toward a future free from breast cancer. All funds support the talented clinicians and researchers working toward a cure in the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer Research Laboratories at the Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis.
