My weekend trip to Santa Barbara was heavenly. One of the things I love about living in LA is how close I am to the ocean and the mountains, making a quick weekend getaway feel like I’m a million miles away. Bacara Resort and Spa was a great place to stay. With a perfectly appointed room, fabulous pools, wine tasting, ocean view and spectacular food, I would have been content to stay on the property the entire weekend. I did wander off for a bit of shopping in downtown Santa Barbara plus a visit to the nearby Monarch butterfly conservancy but spent most of my time relaxing at the resort.
