I go through phases with denim. I’ve amassed quite a collection of printed denim jeans over the past few years and sometimes I’ll wear them non-stop and then I’ll be in a distressed denim mood and live in them for weeks on end and then move on to brightly colored ones and then to boyfriend jeans and then back around to printed ones – phew…
These Old Navy bandana print jeans are completely unique to me – with all the jeans I’ve collected I don’t have anything like them. Remember that fun Old Navy Oasis party I went to during Coachella? In addition to the Pink’s hot dogs, festival hair styling, cold drinks and games, we were able to choose any item we wanted from the cute trailer and I made a bee-line to these cute bandana jeans and I’m glad I did.
I pulled these vintage white loafers out of one of my moving boxes (I’m starting to reorganize everything for the move back to the new house!) and I forgot how much I like them. Growing up in the Bay Area I stuck to the white shoes between Memorial Day and Labor Day rule, which is really kind of interesting when I think about it – on one hand SF is a lovely haven of individual freedom and acceptance of others personal expression but on the other hand there is still an appreciation and respect for old-time traditions and classic styling – and it’s possibly one of the things I like most about where I grew up.
Jeans: Old Navy. Shirt: J. Crew (old but similar here). Tie: Zara. Loafers: Vintage. Watch: Brighton. Lips: Stila ‘Valentina’.
There’s a little part of me that can’t help thinking about Pee Wee Herman every time I see white loafers but that is still not enough to stop me from wearing these undeniably nerdy/cool velco-strap cuties. For your shopping pleasure, I have rounded up some equally awesome summer loafers for you to check out:
