Good Morning! I flew back home from NY last night, just missed the storm and woke up to a sunny morning with predicted temps in the upper 70’s. This first NYFW experience was beyond anything I could have imagined – including sitting front row at Pamella Roland directly across from Nigel Barker, Miss Jay Alexander and Robert Verdi…
Pamella Roland’s love affair with 1930’s New York Art Deco was evident in these metallic patterns and sparkly gowns. I love it when a fashion show can transport you to another place and time. Another favorite show was Concept Korea which was actually four shows in one and began with an interpretive dance:
In it’s ninth season, Concept Korea is a government-sponsored collaborative project to promote South Korean fashion designers in the US. This show featured Kaal E. Suktae by Lee Suk Tae, Choiboko, Beyond Closet by Ko Tae Yong and Big Park by Park Youn Soo:
Those hi-top Reebok’s with the fur were on all the models in the Big Park collection and they were what I couldn’t stop thinking about after the show.
I’m still in a dreamy fashion week haze that will hopefully linger a bit before jumping back in to real life here in LA. xx
