I love it when friends from out-of-town come to visit me! Exploring parts of LA that I sometimes take for granted is so much fun and it feels great to be a tourist in my own town. As soon as I got home from Hawaii I jumped right in to running around to events, choosing a backsplash for the Brentwood condo and picking up my friend Vicky (from Aspiring Socialite) at LAX.
Vicky and I went right from the airport to Venice Beach for a coffee and ‘catch up’ before taking off our shoes and walking down to the ocean. Speaking of shoes… how awesome are these sneakers that I got at that SIX02 event in Hollywood right before NYFW?

We’ve had such a cold spell here in LA this week; quite a change from Hawaii and almost as cold as New York! The cold didn’t stop us from enjoying our day in Venice, though.
We’ve got so many fun tourist-y things planned for this weekend; such a great way to extend that vacation feeling while easing back in to my routine here at home.
