Sharing two things that I’ve added to my wardrobe for Fall: perfect ankle boots and a a long ‘duster’ cardigan. Since I’ve been cleaning out my closet and trying to focus more on the basics for this time of year I’ve been very careful with my purchases and done a fair amount of research before adding anything new to the mix. These Sam Edelman ‘Petty’ booties have been on my wishlist for awhile so I’m excited to finally have a pair. I’ve gone back and forth for months on which color to get and once I narrowed it down to black I had to decide on the suede or this lightly-pebbled leather version.
I feel like the combination of these boots plus the Lucky Brand ‘Stella’ duster cardigan makes a great way to transition your Summer outfits to Fall. Our weather here in LA has been quite changeable lately with cool mornings and evenings and up to the 80’s in the middle of the day so this lightweight duster is great for layering over a tee. I can see these these two Fall basics getting a lot of wear this season. I was lucky enough to find the duster on sale last week online at Macy’s – they have it available in a pretty, light nude color also. I ordered the XS because I wanted it to fit closely and I’m pleasantly surprised at how generously it’s cut.
