Home Remodel Progress: Bathroom Shower Remodeling Ideas & More

bathroom shower remodeling ideas

So excited to share a progress report on my home remodel. September has been an incredibly busy month with lots of little details of the house finally coming together. It looks like we’ll be moving back in next month and I can hardly wait. As thrilled as I am with making a larger master bedroom and creating the new staircase and opening up the kitchen, the 4 bathrooms that we created from scratch are delighting me the most right now. After a lot of bathroom shower remodeling ideas, I decided on this round tub and I’m glad I did. I’m so looking forward to soaking in it after our move.

Choosing different tiles and flooring for each of the bathrooms was time consuming but a definite labor of love.  Our master bathroom is the largest and the only one with a double sink.  I went with Carrera marble for each of the vanities.  Below is the upstairs guest bathroom:

I also put a lot of thought into the 4 new toilets and decided to go with the Toto ones with their ‘double cyclone’ technology. For bathroom shower remodeling ideas, and pretty much the entire house, I’m keeping a clean, neutral palette and plan on getting some color from artwork and flowers. You may remember that this house had a true identity crisis before the remodel and we decided to run with the mid-century modern bones of it and add some art deco glam. The downstairs guestroom bath is the smallest one and I like the look of the subway tiles and mosaics for this stall shower:

The downstairs hallway bathroom is where I wanted to make a bold statement to tie in with the fun feel of our downstairs – a space that we’re using for a family room,  a space for my boyfriends’ band to practice, that big TV and a small kitchen/wet bar.  Below are shots of the future family room, wet bar area and the hallway bathroom:

I had originally picked a quartz for our kitchen and island counter tops but fell in love with the Carrera after seeing how pretty it looked in the bathrooms.  Here’s a shot of the kitchen with the new lights that I found for over the island.  We’ll end up raising them quite a bit once we get the marble installed – I love the glam touch they add the the kitchen:

A quick shot of the deck – which is almost finished – plus a look at our new staircase which is a vast improvement from the crazy one that was right in the middle of the living room before.

Thanks for following along with me on my home remodel.  I can’t believe it’s been nearly a full year of work on this house!
