I’m back home from a quick weekend trip up to Portland. I loved exploring the city and tried my first flaming Spanish Coffee at Portland’s oldest restaurant, Huber’s, which specializes in Thanksgiving-style turkey dinners year round. It’s always fun to get away for the weekend and then it feels so good to get back home to my own bed and my sweet dog plus I had a few packages arrive while I was gone and one of them was the blue organza midi skirt that I ordered from Chicwish…
I love this shade of blue. I’m planning an outfit for an upcoming party and think this skirt will look great dressed up with a fancy top and would also be cute with a casual tee.

I made a decision while I was on my trip this weekend to ‘take back’ my nails! I’ve been getting gel polish manicures for at least a year now and while I love not having to worry about chipped polish for weeks at a time I have been missing doing my own nails, shopping for new colors and being able to change up my polish myself whenever the mood strikes. On today’s agenda is a shopping trip to pick out some pretty new Summer nail polish – I can’t wait to do my own nails again. xx
