One of the highlights of last week’s trip to NYC was the strangely delightful ‘Queen of the Night’ dinner show. It’s pretty hard to sum up this particular NYC dinner theater show and, honestly, the less you know about it the better. I went in to the Diamond Horseshoe (the historic vaudeville venue below the Paramount Hotel) not quite sure what to expect and was completely blown away by this unique mix of acrobatics, circus acts, music, chic design and food.
Dinner was a sensational and amazing experience that included entire roasted pigs, lobsters in cages and short ribs plus salads, sides and decanters of wine. Dessert was doled-out in a deliciously decadent fashion which was perfectly fitting for this over-the-top NYC dinner theater experience.
Queen of the Night, which is loosely based on Mozart’s opera ‘The Magic Flute’, will completely change your idea of NYC dinner theater and is a not-to-be-missed treat for the senses. I’m so happy that I had the chance to attend this show – yet another thing to love about NYC!
