The Park Avenue Armory was transformed into a football field yesterday for Tommy Hilfiger’s epic football-meets-fashion spectacular. The runway spanned an entire football field, complete with goalposts, a Team Hilfiger scoreboard (Home 20 – Away 15), and dream team cheerleaders like Gigi Hadid, Malaika Firth, Jourdan Dunn, and Lexi Boling. This show topped my past season favorites from Hilfiger: the Ski Holiday and Sgt. Pepper’s concert. The luxe 70’s inspired sportswear had me yearning for cheerleader skirts and varsity sweaters.
Marking Tommy Hilfiger’s 30 iconic years in the business, this show was my hands-down winner for best runway show of the NYFW F/W 15 collections. Just like High School, I couldn’t resist rushing the field post-game.
