Yesterday I ran around all day with my hair in this fancy French Twist (courtesy of my dear friend Coco) and felt very much like Grace Kelly. I’ve been trying to create this ‘do on my own but still don’t quite have the necessary skills. I think the key to getting this look with my skinny strands is teasing, teasing and more teasing…
I picked up these cute ‘shoeties’ last week and think they may be perfect for Sunday’s Simply Stylist event along with some sort of skirt/sweater combo:
The platform in the front makes them not feel like heels at all – perfect for all the running around I’ll be doing this weekend.
Coat: Trilogy (old but I love this one). Sweater: Asos (sold out but I love this one). Shirt: J Crew. Jeans: Current/Elliott. Bag: YSL (old but similar cute one here). Shoes: Adrienne Vittadini. Sunglasses: Karen Walker. Lips: Stila ‘Beso’.
As I’m packing for another trip I realize that I have a few key pieces in my wardrobe that are really my ‘workhorse’ items – those things that I wear again and again in a million different ways – these jeans and chambray shirt are two of my most worn and loved pieces. They are each items that I consider ‘investment’ pieces, ones that I put a lot of thought into and considered how they would work with what I have and how much I would wear them. Do you have pieces like that in your wardrobe? I’d love to hear about your ‘workhorse’ items!
