In honor of Mother’s Day, I’ve partnered with the International Princess Project to send a message of love, faith and encouragement to mothers in India who are making changes to their lives by working in sewing centers to create these colorful and cozy Punjammies…
Inspired by the traditional Sari’s worn in India, these colorful Punjammies are a symbol of newfound hope for women and girls who are struggling to restore their broken lives and live in freedom. What began as six women sewing in one small room has grown to over 150 women and girls employed in one of International Princess Project’s 3 sewing centers. With each Punjammies purchase the dignity and freedom of a woman is reinforced and the future of India gets a little brighter.
I brought these Punjammies along on my trip to Northern California this weekend and wore them with a Swell tank, BCBGeneration heels and King Onye Label necklace. We shot these pictures outside of our hotel and I fell in love with this sweet family of geese and the way the parents protected their babies while crossing the street:
I hope you’ll join me this week by getting involved in a very special way of sending our words of encouragement to these moms in India that are working so hard for a better way of life. Please use the tag #hopeformoms to send a note of encouragement, an image, a short video or any other communication through Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest or Google+. All notes tagged #hopeformoms will be gathered and shared with the women in the International Princess Project sewing centers plus the IPP will receive a $1 donation for each #hopeformoms hashtag.
Thank you so much for following along and for showing your support for this charity. xoxo
