I found this vintage 1950’s skirt at an estate sale on Saturday and it was a perfect fit The label says “Taffy of California” and I’m absolutely thrilled with it! I think it needs a petticoat under it so I’ll need to keep an eye out for one. I’m wearing it with a Brooks Brothers wrap blouse and Badgley Mischka heels.
Here it is with a vintage cardigan:
I usually don’t wear more than one vintage piece at a time – I worry that I’ll look like a character in a play set in decades past. I like the look of these pieces together but will probably end up pairing this skirt with a more modern leather or denim jacket. My abalone and freshwater pearl necklace is from Safia Day and my watch is Brighton.
These Badgley Mischka’s deserve a closeup:
What’s your feeling on mixing vintage pieces? Do you like to create an entire vintage look or tend to just throw one vintage item in with current trends and basics? xoxo
