Santa Barbara is one of those places that’s only about 90 minutes from LA but feels like another part of the world. Two weeks ago we went away for the weekend to celebrate our friends’ anniversary and stayed in downtown Santa Barbara and felt like we were far away from the hustle bustle of LA and able to relax and enjoy great Mexican food, a cool ocean breeze and small-town charm…

I can’t believe it’s Friday already. I’ve been out of town the past two weekends so it’ll be especially nice to relax at home the next couple of days and get caught up on some house things – it looks like we’ll be making some big progress at the new house this next week and I’m so excited for it to start looking more like a home and less like a construction site.
